Most larger items (150 lbs or more) will ship by Common Carrier and are palletized when needed for safety. We use the finest most dependable carriers available for our products to ensure prompt and safe delivery to your home or business. These Items are delivered to your curb and the customer takes it from there unless special arrangements have been made.

Inspect your goods immediately!-
It is important to open and check your goods while the trucking company is still there. Don’t apologize for making them wait for a few minutes. If there is damage, and you don’t make a note of it on their documents, they are usually unwilling to take full responsibility.
With this being the case it is also good to check for any external damage to the packaging and make a note of it on the freight companies paperwork (Bill of Lading, or Delivery Receipt) when you sign for the freight. This way, if damage is discovered later, we will have some recourse for full compensation.
With minor damage many times a new part can be sent to replace the damaged one in order for the customer to have immediate use of their product if desired.
With significant damage the shipment may be refused. Always contact Homefire Hearth immediately while the trucking company is still present if possible.
